Dear Friends of Disability Rights Pennsylvania (DRP),
I am writing this letter to invite you to do something special this Holiday Season. I invite you to make a contribution to Disability Rights Pennsylvania (DRP), the federally mandated protection and advocacy agency for the state of Pennsylvania. Your generous gift will touch the lives of many Pennsylvanians who experience disability, as well as their families, friends, and supporters. As Chair of the Board of Directors, who just so happens to have a disability, I can attest to the many ways DRP is helping people with disabilities. I encourage you to become more involved in the continued work of advocating with and for people with disabilities. Throughout the year, we have been involved in special education, employment, social security benefit and representative payee advocacy.
We understand that not everyone can afford to make a large monetary gift. Still, there are other ways in which you can help us. Spread the word. Tell your friends and neighbors about us. Like us on all of our social media platforms. Stay in contact concerning legislation both at the state and federal level, so that you can contact your elected officials about legislation that is important for all of us. Your contacts with your state and federal representatives help more than you may realize. And, don’t forget to tell your friends and neighbors to contact their elected officials, too.
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors of DRP, I thank you for your contribution, and we all look forward to serving Pennsylvanians with disabilities during the coming year, and for many years to come.
Suzanne Erb, M.S.,
