2023 Virtual African American Conference on Disabilities
Registration is open for a virtual option to the annual African American Conference on Disabilities. The conference is hosted by the Arizona Center for Disability Law. The virtual conference costs $15 and is open to all individuals, families, and organizations who are interested in learning about and eliminating barriers on race and disability. The virtual conference starts on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
The Arizona Center for Disability Law offers both an in-person and virtual option for the annual African American Conference on Disabilities. The virtual options consistently draw thousands of attendees from across the country as well as Canada, Africa, and Europe. This is the 12th year of the annual conference. The in-person conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, June 16, 2023.
The African American Conference on Disabilities is the only comprehensive conference in the United States that addresses the intersection between race and disabilities.
The organizers have also put together 4 virtual sessions that start on Wednesday, February 8. These sessions include:

February 8, 2023 – Session 2 – 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm (Eastern)

February 9, 2023 – Session 3 – 11:00 am – 12:30 pm (Eastern)
Meeting the Educational Needs of Arizona’s Foster Youth – A Panel Discussion
February 9, 2023 – 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm (Eastern)
Tracing the Trauma Thread from our Ancestors to Present Healing
