A Message to the DRP Community About COVID19
We at Disability Rights Pennsylvania have been following the development of the coronavirus (also known as COVID-19) in order to take precautions to protect our clients, stakeholders, and staff. We understand that we are both part of and serve a vulnerable community, people with disabilities and those with chronic illness, and want to do what’s best to limit exposure to our communities.
Government, businesses, schools, health and mental health care providers and nonprofit organizations have set in place protocols based on current guidelines and information to limit the spread of COVID-19. This includes postponing legislative hearings and events, allowing staff to work remotely, and setting up remote learning. More protocols will be released soon. Each of these recommendations can lessen the spread of the virus and bring challenges for the disability community.
Whether our staff works remotely or from an office, our intake will remain open from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday. If you believe you have experienced a disability-related legal issue, call our intake system at (800) 692-7443.
