Comments for Pennsylvania’s Combined Workforce Development Plan Are Due February 1

Pennsylvania’s Combined State Plan for Workforce Development is available for public comment.  This combined plan includes the State Plan for services from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and other workforce development partners such as Careerlinks.  It is a required combined plan under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).  The plan is available at this link:  Pennsylvania’s WIOA Combined State Plan.  The section for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation begins on page 108.

The Commonwealth is seeking comments from the public on this Plan.  Comments are due by 5pm on February 1, 2016.  Public comments should be submitted in writing to RA-LI-PAWDB@pa.gov.  You should include page numbers as reference when commenting on specific aspects of the State Plan.

Below is information from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation on the Combined State Plan sent out on December 28, 2015:

“Pennsylvania’s WIOA Combined State Plan is now live and available for public comment at Pennsylvania’s WIOA Combined State Plan.  In addition to the plan, we’ve provided information on how and where to comment, as well as information on the listening sessions scheduled for January. http://www.dli.pa.gov/Businesses/Workforce-Development/Pages/WIOA-Combined-State-Plan-Posted.aspx

The Plan is required to be posted for public comment for a minimum of 30 days.  Pennsylvania’s WIOA Combined State Plan was posted for public comment on December 28, 2015.  Public comment will be accepted until 5 PM on Monday, February 1, 2016.

Public comment should be submitted, in writing, to RA-LI-PAWDB@pa.gov. It is requested that commenters include page numbers when commenting on specific aspects of the plan to facilitate responses to the comments.
