The Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania is a statewide non-profit corporation that provides legal and advocacy assistance to persons with disabilities and their families. We are seeking to hire a qualified individual to fill a full-time position as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) in DRN’s Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) program.
DRN’s CWICs work in the southeast region of Pennsylvania (Bucks, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Montgomery) and directly with Social Security beneficiaries to provide benefits counseling.
Applicants should have experience working with people with disabilities, as well as knowledge of the disability community and its resources.
Applicants must attend Social Security training and pass an examination for certification. Proficient verbal and written communication skills are required in addition to operational knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
DRN seeks a culturally diverse staff and encourages people with disabilities, people from minority groups, and former beneficiaries to apply. We offer competitive pay and a good benefits package.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, possess relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience. Former beneficiaries may substitute up to two years of full-time work for the education requirement if they can demonstrate that they used SSA work incentives to successfully gain employment.
