Free At Home COVID Test Kits
The Biden Administration began distributing another round of free COVID-19 test kits in December. For the last couple of years, the Administration has provided free COVID-19 test kits in winter as COVID-19 cases peak through the winter months when friends and families spend more time indoors.
COVID-19 is on the rise again. For the week that ended January 4, 2023, there were 470,699 COVID-19 cases in the U.S. 640 counties in the U.S. are now on record with high transmission rate. These counties are along the east coast and in the south. 1,347 counties are on record with a medium transition rate.
The best way to prevent a serious infection of COVID is to mask when you are in indoor spaces and to get booster shots. The other tool is to test when you believe you have symptoms of COVID-19.
Every household is eligible to order and receive 4 free at-home COVID-19 test kits.
