ITEM Coalition Issues Survey RE Medicare Beneficiaries and Access to Assistive Technology Devices; Please Complete.

The ITEM Coalition consists of national and state disability organizations interested in increasing access to assistive devices and technologies for individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions.
ITEM is currently surveying people with disabilities and chronic conditions to find out if they are experiencing problems accessing the devices needed to function independently. ITEM is interested in medical device and assistive technology users that live in areas where Medicare has implemented a selective provider contracting program known as the DME Competitive Bidding Program.
Please respond to the survey if you are a Medicare beneficiary who uses a device to remain independent, even if you live outside of a bidding area. Feel free to share the survey with other Medicare beneficiaries. To respond to the survey, simply go to the link below:

This is a great opportunity to provide feedback on your experience using devices through Medicare. The identity of respondents will be confidential and only shared with the respondent’s permission. Other data will be analyzed and shared with the ITEM Coalition and policy makers in D.C. who are working to reform the device benefit under Medicare.
