Legislative Alert from SPEAK Unlimited Inc.
Would You Help Protect the Most Vulnerable Pennsylvanians?
State Senator Andy Dinniman has just issued a Co-Sponsorship Memorandum to introduce legislation establishing the Pennsylvania Premise Alert System as Law. The Pennsylvania Premise Alert System allows anyone with any special need, complex medical diagnosis, or disability to inform First Responders of their specific needs before a crisis.
SPEAK Unlimited asks you to do two things. First, read the Co-Sponsorship Memorandum, then second e-mail your Senator and ask him or her to sign on as a co-sponsor to this legislation that helps keep people safe. It is a free program that is effective and efficient. Will you help? A sample letter to your Senator is below.

Thank you so much for helping to make this happen. This system has been replicated by law in two other states and in communities around our nation and around the world. SPEAK Unlimited is grateful to Senator Dinniman for his work to make this happen and would be very grateful if you would send a quick note to your Pennsylvania State Senator and ask for his or her support as well.
Thank you,

Sample letter to your Senator
Dear Senator,
I am writing to urge you to co-sponsor Senator Dinniman’s proposed legislation to establish the Pennsylvania Premise Alert System as law. This system was gifted to the state in 2008 and has been working in communities across the Commonwealth. The reason for making it a law is to ensure that this valuable safety tool is available to every community and every vulnerable individual who chooses to use it.
I have someone in my life who will need additional support in the event of an emergency and I believe that this system is too valuable and too important not to ensure its availability now and in the future.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
[Your name]
