Advocacy is front and center in Maine today as people with disabilities, along with our allies, rally at the state capitol in Augusta to demand that Governor Paul LePage take the first step in implementing a voter approved initiative in November that expanded Medicaid in their state. So far, Maine’s Governor has failed to act to apply for Medicaid expansion. Today is also the first of a series of deadlines for Maine to file plans and applications with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to start the expansion process.
