Listen to Advocacy Matters for July 31, 2018: Federal Emergency Management Agency

A coalition of organizations, led by the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD), is sending a letter to the Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to protest the decrease in the number of disability integration advisors deployed to states that have been declared federal disaster areas. The proposed reductions were announced on May 24th. FEMA intends to drop the number of disability integration advisors from 60 to only 5 per disaster site.
