Update on Pennsylvania’s Budget

Budget negotiations continue. The state legislature is in session today through the end of the month. Click here for our statement on the budget and links to background information.

The Pennsylvania budget may be completed as early as June 30. Now is a good time to remind your state Senator and Representative about the importance of funding for disability-related human services, special education, and Vocational Rehabilitation services. The Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania supports a state budget that provides full funding for people with disabilities to have appropriate home and community-based services, to receive a free appropriate public education, and to get jobs in the community.
